Why is it important to send a corporate Christmas card?

For many businesses the last financial quarter and the run up to the Christmas holidays is our busiest time. We’re so busy, that it’s easy to forget Christmas cards and brush them aside as not important. We think, I don’t have time for little things like sending a card, but what message does that give about us and our business?

If we stop to think for a moment, how do you feel when you receive a Christmas Card e-card from one of your business friends? Does it cheer you up, make you smile, make you feel valued and appreciated?

What impression does it make? They’re always so organised and efficient, perhaps or, they’re so kind and thoughtful? Or maybe, they really do remember me and value my custom.

Perhaps it reminds you of that supplier, how helpful and thoughtful they are or what they’re really good at? Maybe it makes you think, ‘I must catch up with them soon’?

Although these are only fleeting thoughts, maybe it’s a little bit of all these things? Here are a few more reminders why it’s important to send Christmas Cards…

Benefits of sending a Christmas e-card

  1. Show you care - To send Seasons Greetings to your clients and their loved ones.

  2. Say thank you - To thank your clients for their continued loyalty and custom.

  3. Demonstrate you’re dependable - To let them know you’re reliable and there when they need you.

  4. As a reminder - To remind clients when you’ll be open over the festive period.

  5. Cost effective - E-cards are quicker and cheaper to send, no postage, no stamp licking.

  6. Eco friendly - Compared to sending a card in the post, e-cards are far more environmentally friendly.

  7. Charity donation - Christmas is a time when we think about those less fortunate than us and an excellent opportunity to make a donation to our chosen charity.
