Two Recent Website Launches: Supporting Craft, Confidence, and Growth

At Citrus Web, I often say that no two website projects are the same, and the past few weeks have been a perfect example.
I’ve recently launched two very different websites: one for a specialist trade business venturing online for the first time, and another for a personal brand photographer evolving into her next chapter.
The projects couldn’t have been more different. What the business owners did share was their passion, expertise and readiness to embrace the next stage of their business growth. That's exactly what I love to do: understand what a business needs right now and build websites that genuinely support where that business is going next.
Bringing a Traditional Craft Online: The Green Plastering Company

Harriet and Mike, husband-and-wife team from The Green Plastering Company came to me with something quite special — deep expertise in lime plastering and traditional building methods, but no online presence at all.
This was their first step into the digital world, so the process was very much about guidance and support at every stage. From shaping the site structure to helping them communicate what makes their work unique, it was a real collaborative journey.
Lime plastering is a specialist craft, and the website needed to reflect that. We focused on clearly explaining the benefits — breathable materials, sustainability, and suitability for older properties — while also positioning them as true experts in their field.
The end result is a website that not only introduces them online but gives potential clients confidence in both their knowledge and their craftsmanship.
A New Chapter for Michelle Morris,
The Confidence Photographer

In contrast, my work with Michelle Morris — The Confidence Photographer — was a very different kind of project.
Michelle, an established local branding photographer, was keen to evolve her business into a truer reflection of how she empowers women today.
Helping women be "Seen" and giving them a selection of images that let their strength, passion and unique personality shine through. You can see from the stunning images throughout her website how she puts women at ease and lets them be playful and expressive. When it came to choosing the right images for the website, we were spoiled for choice, so we opted for mini-galleries, showcasing her skill and artistry to the full.
This new phase of her life and her business focuses more deeply on what photography means for the women she works with — confidence, empowerment, and self-expression.
This was very much her project. She led the way creatively, writing the content and carefully curating her imagery. My role was to offer Wix support, advise on galleries and features where needed, and bring everything together into a cohesive, professional website.
It was a real journey for her - not just building a website, but refining her message and fully stepping into this next stage of her business. The final result feels incredibly personal, authentic, and aligned with her work.
Two Projects, One Goal
These two projects highlight something I see time and time again — there’s no single “right way” to build a website.
Some clients need hands-on support from day one, especially when it’s their first time online. Others are ready to lead creatively and use the process as a way to clarify their direction.
In both cases, my role is the same: to meet people where they are, guide the process, and create a website that genuinely reflects their business and helps them move forward with confidence.
If you’re thinking about your own website — whether it’s your first or your next — it’s not just about having something that looks good. It’s about building something that works for where your business is going next. Are you ready?
